Boat Quay, Dusk
The Subject: Singapore! My job sent me there four times from 1998 to 2001. A wonderful, colorful place to make cityscapes. Boat Quay was the waterfront in the days of small trading boats. The old riverfront boathouses have been transformed into restaurants and clubs of all descriptions. The business district rises behind. Government buildings occupy the near bank of the river at left. My vantage point for this photo was nearly deserted in 2001. A new building has probably risen in it's place.
