Range Rover Classic & Discovery 1
For the Range Rover Classic and Discovery I, a 245/75-16 is a
nice fit with a two or three inch lift.
For all-around use and winter driving, we especially like the BF
Goodrich All Terrain KO.
For mud, we've been very impressed with the Firestone
Destination MT.
For stock replacements, the Michelin Synchrone is an excellent choice.
Although tame in appearance, they handle all conditions very well.

2" Lifted Disco with 245/75-16's

Range Rover Classics can use 235/70-16 to replace the 205's that were
fitted at the factory.

Discovery II
For the Discovery II, the Michelin Synchrone is an excellent
choice. Although tame in appearance, they handle all conditions very well.
For those looking for something more aggressive, A two
inch lift will allow a 265/75-16 to fit without a problem. For mostly
road-bound vehicles or for use in snow, we prefer the BF Goodrich All Terrain
KO.
For mud use, we've been impressed by the Firestone Destination
MT.

Defender
Defenders often come stock with BF Goodrich All Terrain KO's
in 265/75-16 and that's what we normally fit on them.
Otherwise, we outfit the Defender for mud use with Firestone
Destination MT's or BFG Mud Terrains. If lifting your Defender, one might go
to a 33" or larger tire.

Freelander
The Freelander fared well on the stock Michelins, but if you
got an early one with Goodyear HP's you probably want to upgrade. We often fit
BFGoodrich AT KO's in 225/70-16 on stock height Freelanders and 225/75-16 on
lifted Freelanders. The 17" and 18" versions typically convert to 16" wheels
for off-road use.

is a popular choice in 235/85-16 size.
