Royal Doulton China

Royal Doulton Coaching Series China - "Autumn"

Twelve different scenes

1904-1910

Royal Doulton china was made through a process of tranfering printing from engraved plates and lithography onto refined earthenware and bone china.  Skilled artists hand colored each piece before final glazing took place.  Therefore, each plate is unique.

Most of the "Coaching Series" pattern was produced between 1904-1910 and the pattern was pulled in 1950.  Three colors were made of which  "Autumn" or yellow, was the most popular.  "Summer"  or blue, was produced for only two years which makes it much more valuable and difficult to come by.

"Winter" or white was produced for one year only, making it the rarest and most valuable to collect.  The china comes in a wide variety of pieces, from tea cups and saucers to dinner settings to beer steins.  There are twelve different coaching scenes which makes each piece unique. This china is a "must" for the serious collector!
