Peer Review Form

Be constructive in your comments. The purpose of this review is to help the writer improve his/her paper. Be clear; provide examples, and useful advice. Cite specifically what is good and effective; and what is not. Make suggestions that will improve the paper. The reviewer will be graded on the quality of his/her review. Make use of your précis writing skills in analyzing the work of your classmate.

In each section, comment on any grammatical/spelling errors or problems with structure that you believe should be corrected. If you think the order of ideas or the flow of thought could be improved if re-arranged, say so. Be succinct but don't use unhelpful or empty language ("This was good and I thought it was effective." -- rather -- "This was effective because..").

Main Thesis/Argument/Hypothesis: Is it well stated? Do you understand it? If not, explain why. Has the author done a good job of telling the reader about the main points in the paper? Specifically state what needs to be done to improve it.
