The Castle in the Attic
by Elizabeth Winthrop

I read a  great fiction book.  It is called  The Castle in the Attic.  This book is about a boy named Wilum.  His housekeeper is one of his best friends, but she has to  leave and go to her home town, because her father dies.  The night before she leaves, she gives Wilum a toy castle with one knight.  That night, he finds out  it is  magic.  I can't tell you anymore becuase it is too exciting.
I think this book is great for ages 9 and up.
I would give this book ************.

by Anne Mazer

Sister Magic by Anne Mazer is a good book for someone with a little sister.  Mabel has a little sister, Violet.  Violet gets into trouble all the time.  Mabel gets annoyed.  Mabel and Violet get a book on fairy tales. Mabel  loves the book so she does not want Violet to ruin it.  They go shoe shopping and something is wrong with Mabel.  Read the book to find out what.

Emily Windsnap and The Castle in the Mist
by Liz Kessler

There are mermaids in the sea.    Emily Windsnap and The Castle in the Mist by Liz Kessler  is my favorite book, because you never know what is going to happen next.  Is a tidal wave going to crash, or is a person going to be lost at sea?
This book is about Emily Windsnap, half human/half mermaid,  who finds a ring that leads to an ancient curse.  In the end she must give up one of her parents.  Should she live with her father and be a mermaid, or be human with her mother?
I recommend this book to 4th-7th graders.   This is the 3rd book in the Emily Windsnap series.  READ THE BOOKS IN ORDER.  The Tail of Emily Windsnap is #1, and Emily Windsnap and the Monster from the Deep is #2.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars *****

Vampirates: Demons of the Ocean
by Justin Somper

Vampirates by Justin Somper is an awesome book.  There are two kids; one named  Connor and one named Grace.  They are in a ship wreck and are seperated from their father and from each other.  Read this book to find out what happens to them and who they meet.  I would recommend this book to BOYS ONLY!
    5 Star Rating.
