Dear Students,

Mrs. Davis, Ms. Sara and I are so excited to welcome you back to school.

We have been busy preparing some new and exciting activities for you to do.

This school year we will be studying history, a lot of history!  We will learn about Plymouth history, colonial history, and United States history.

Reading stories will connect our learning in many ways. We will be making books to document our learning.  Mrs. Davis will be spending most of her time guiding you in your reading.

Ms. Sara will be teaching mathematics with a new program we have.  Everyday Mathematics will help you to be ready to tackle all kinds of math activities and problems.

Ms. Sara will teach science explorations, also.  Our topics will include rocks and minerals and geology of Vermont.

I will be helping you with your writing projects and the creation of books during our writing and social studies.
Our school will be different this year.  We will not have big classes, but small learning groups.  The groups will meet together to learn new and exciting things.
 
I will tell you more about our learning communities on the first day of school assembly.

Everyone will be getting a MOOSE Book this year.  I can’t wait to help you make yours. Are you curious about this?
