Lisa as a child with her grandfather

Lisa has grown up with horses and has a broad knowledge base in riding and driving experiences.  Her first experiences with horses was as a child learning from her grand-father, who farmed with horses and raised ponies. Lisa went on to own many horses and attend many shows. She is now a breeder (Paint the Summit Farm) and is an accomplished trainer, both under saddle and in harness. Her greatest strengths are her confidence and intuitive knowledge of horse behavior, which helps her always bring out the best in each and every horse!
She is competent in imprinting foals- giving them a solid foundation in all the basics. She works with all kinds of problem behaviors:
loading issues, standing for farrier work and fly spraying, etc, leading respectfully and quietly.

Lisa utilizes the techniques learned from Clinton Anderson- "the Down Under Horseman" and adds her own style
to gain respect and control which results in a supple, safe horse.

Lisa likes to say: In training- Gaining RESPECT is one GIANT
S-T-E-P

"S"AFETY
"T"rust
"E"njoy your
"P"artner

Once respect and control has been established you gain a safer environment with your horse.
The horse is willing to overcome fears and gain trust in its partner.
This is where the enjoyment comes in.
Once you feel safe and the horse is willing to be your partner
you get enjoyment.

Even when you come up to the unexpected. Second day on the day on the road and we had to stop and wait for the children to get off the bus. She was perfect with the situation. All the ground work preparation paid off .

Another example of a young horse in training where Lisa's foundation work paid off.

Start a horse- Finish a horse

Horses with bad or annoying habits, horses that need some fine tuning in order to sell
Ground work, trail/road work, Ring work, driving

All styles of riding disciplines

There are many options for training packages depending on needs and goals
