As of this date, July 17, 1997, the first year anniversary of the TWA 800 tragedy (and now of this date - and now, October 25th, 1997 there are no answers in spite of the most intensive and expensive "crash" investigatiion on record. The week of July 17th 1997 the NTSB and other government agencies including the FBI in New York ran test flights to duplicate the flight of TWA 800 beginning in Athens, Greece to duplicate the type of fuel thence to New York with a delay in the heat on the ground to allow the air conditioning package to heat the center fuel tank and generate a possible explolsive mixture. But there's still no proof! uEuUPDATE OCTOBER 1997 James kallstrom of the FBI and the NTSB both - without a shred of evidence - now floated the possibility that a spark between two wires in the center tank ignited an explosive mixture of gasses! Yes, they work hard to solve the riddle. And yes, they work twice as hard to concoct a story which will blame TWA, Boeing and the service agencies thus absolving the U.S. Government from any blame for being responsible for so-called "terrorist" attacks on Americans due to its repressive interference in other nations' affairs and in supporting Israel's illegal and genocidal occupation of Palestine, Lebanon and the Golan Heights!
So who dunnit ?
It is a fact that kerosene-jet fuel just don't go boom lika this on its own! It takes an ignitor and then a very critical mixture of air (oxygen) and fuel fumes to burn and a more critical situation to explode - and this is a highly improbable situation. If an explosion did occur with only fuel and air as components the wave-front would be "slow" rather than fast such as the explosion caused by nitro-glycerine, Semtex or nitrogen-tri-iodide as a detonator-accelerator for compression. DISGUSTING!
It surely was - to hear - and see - some of the victims' families bellyaching and demanding compensation on TV and blaming Boeing and TWA for the unfortunate deaths of their loved ones. It was also disgusting to see the media showing adults in out of control weeping emotion after a year. Perhaps they instead of children should receive free "counseling" as seems to be the trend in school when a schoolmate dies in an unfortunate accident.
Blaming the U.S. Government
for an anti-American terrorist act would be the appropriate target for responsibility and any compensation because it is responsible for past - present and future hatred of Americans due to its one sided - flawed foreign policy, its failed diplomacy and its violations of international law and support of Israeli atrocities against innocent peoples in the Mid East and elsewhere which has brought on "terrorist" attacks around the world.
Who is The U.S. Government?
The U.S. Government is you and me and some of the victims and some of the victims' families because in a democracy the people elected the officials and thus are responsible for what good and bad their servants do. A glance in the mirror would show who is likely responsible for this and many other tragedies. Some time back a cartoon character, Pogo, put it very clearly: "We have met the enemy and it is us!"
BY DEFAULT IN EXCERCISING OUR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WE BECOME THE JUSTIFIABLE TARGETS FOR RETALIATION BY THOSE WHOM WE DENY THEIR GOD-GIVEN RIGHTS TO LIFE, LIBERTY, JUSTICE AND THE PURSUIT OF A PEACEFUL AND HAPPY LIFE!
If others could be blamed, the victims' families could sue and collect millions as happened following the explosion of Pan Am 103 on the night of December 21, 1988 - which killed 170 people. In this instance the U.S. Government - on fabricated "evidence" blamed Pan Am for neglegence in security and two Libyans for the bombingso did not have to explain why it removed many of its personnel including State Department persons in London allowing a large number of Syracuse University students and others to grab the vacated seats and get home for Christmas. What a kind and considerate act by our Government! And of course, they modestly kept the matter silent. Never mind that lies and fabricated evidence blamed Pan Am exclusevly and the bad publicity was the last straw that drove Pan Am out of business.
The U.S. and England blamed two Libyans for the bombing based on flimsy - contrived evidence - and has demanded the men be surrendered to them for trial. Libya has continually offered to surrender the men to the World Court or another "neutral international court" for a fair and unbiased trial based on evidence - not lies, hype, distortions, and emotions. But the U.S. and the Brits refuse to surrender control for fear the truth of their own guilt will be brought out. Meantime the U.S. has demonized President Muammar Qadhaffi and imposed an embargo as punishment. How to win friends and prevent retaliatory terrorism!
PAN AM 103 UPDATE OF OCTOBER 25, 1997
This past week President Mandella of South Africa flew to Libya and embraced his old friend President Muammar Qadhaffi. This greatly upset the U.S. Government, Britain and the Israelis because it again broke the unilaterial U.S. imposed embargo on Libya and showed further disintegration of world support for the U.S. government's bullying of other nations.
Again, the U.S. demanded more sanctions which will not be forthcoming. And again, Qadhaffi offered the two alleged bombers for trial in a neutral nation - or the World Colurt! And again, the U.S. refused as it demended they be surrendered to a U.S. or British court!
SO ONE MAY WELL ASK: WHAT IS THE U.S. AFRAID OF?
And in the case of TWA 800 the search STILL GOES ON AS OF OCTOBER 25, 1997 and so does a coverup of the facts. Irrespective of who - what - how and why - it makes little difference because without absolute proof - the question remains that it could have been a terrorist act - particularly since over 100 credible witnesses testified they saw a curving light streak ascend to TWA 800 followed immediately by the explosion. Again in October, Kallstrom tried to discredit what all these people saw!
So terrorism is still a likely factor and a threat. And- the nature of terrorism is to create credible doubt, uncertainty, insecurity and FEAR in order to accomplish a political goal such as acquiring freedom and justice by those with little to lose and all to gain not attainable otherwise against misuse of the massive monitary and military power of the U.S. and Israel against innocents!
President Clinton and the U.S. Government are responsible for a flawed foreign policy - failed diplomacy and are guilty of blatent international banditery and supporting brutal occupation, confiscation, home demolitions, torture and genocide of innocents by America's "best friend" in the Mid East? President Clinton probably would like to blame it on an "act of God" in order to be seen as guiltless! THIS WOULD MAKE HIM GUILTLESS AND GUTLESS!

FLASH! Aug. 7, 1977 President Clinton and SS Albright blame Arafat for double suicide bombing in Jerusalem in spite of fact that this bombing and most others occurred in Israel proper or areas under illegal Israeli control.
So what else is new as of October 25, 1997? The same old thing with Dennis Ross Ms. Albright, President Clinton and Congress still doing their "diplomacy" for Israeli-Jews instead of for America and Americans! Sic tempus fugit - as innocents on both sides die!
