IRELAND!
DRENCHED IN IRISH BLOOD BY THE BLOODY BRITISH!
And the British got themselves bloodied in retaliation!
Is it not time to make MAKE LOVE - not war? Get a piece and live again! Put on your ears and hear about love - true love - not hate!

Today is July 30, 2002 and the British still occupy North Ireland and the Protestants and IRA Catholics still kill each other in spite of truce after truce. This can go on forever unless the British control the occupation troops and the Protestant militias and see that the Irish get justice and equality:
For now I wash my hands of the affair. See just a small part of the on and off again conflict! JWW 02-07-30

Today, July 19, 1998 we look back on just a year ago at what we wrote at that time!
So peace was signed but the Orangemen continue to march and just last week they firebombed a Catholic home killing 4 innocent young boys as they slept upstairs in their beds!

Now see this!
FLASH! July 19, 1997: Northern Ireland peace possible!
"At last! Another cease fire!"
Forget it. They're at it again!
FLASH AGAIN! Cease fire signed July 20, effective Sunday noon 21st! And the cease fire still holds as of July 28th with Gerry Adams, head of Sinn Fenn, negotiating for peace with Ulster and England!
The Irish Republican Army announced on Saturday, July 19th a new cease fire to be effective at noon on Sunday July 20th Irish time!
It was 17 months ago that the cease fire was broken by the IRA in frustration and anger at the continuing demand of the British under John Major that it give up its arms before negotiations could begin. After so many years of killing on both sides this demand was stupid on the part of the British because without the threat of terrorism there would have been no talks and Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams would never have been invited to the U.S. Whitehouse for talks with President Clinton. It has taken 13 months of negotiations to effect this cease fire. Let's hope both sides negotiate in good faith and let's hope the British realize they have occupied Ireland by force of arms then enslaved and abused the Irish for centuries.
And let's remember it was not the "blight of the potato" - the potato famine which caused starvation and the flight of half of the Irish in the mid 1800s. It was the fact that Ireland was rich in cattle and grains which the Irish workers and farmers raised and shipped overseas for the sole benefit of the rich - occupying - British "land owners." Then when the potato blight came along, the poor Irish starved because the British refused to allow them to eat grain and meat. Is it any wonder that the Irish finally rebelled?
Much more to come here as time and events dictate!
Truce after truce - agreement after agreement. No settlement!
Go back to bed. I can't keep up with my Irish family!

After the IRA saying this week that turning in their arms leaves
them nothing to negotiate with since the Brits cannot be trusted!
Note the dates. On and off again. Why? Well, the Irish, under illegal British
occupation,  rightfully refuse to give up their arms until the Brits decide they
really want peace because then they will have lost their leverage in being without
guns and the Brits, considering the past,  cannot be trusted then to make peace
but will continue their centuries old oppression!
There is a matter of law. The Brits are the oppressor. The Irish are the victims!
