Ref. The brouhaha concerning the Conniston School
 rebuilding under the PBIA flight path.

Today I drove on Parker passing this towering new “palace” called Conniston School as a large jet plane passed nearby overhead. And as a retired military and airline pilot with over 30,000 hours who experienced several engine failures on takeoff, I instantly visualized a jet with a full trans Atlantic load of fuel and 300 people aboard ploughing into the school and incinerating a thousand or more innocent children.

Immediately I also visualized the 9-11 attacks on America and the stated reasons therefore and again my mind turned to a possible attack by terrorists. But this time I put my mind into the mind of someone as angered at America as the 9-11 bombers were and thought how I might feel if my family had been unjustly killed by Israel or the U. S military as “collaterals” or deliberately by U.S. military action in trying to “topple” a foreign leader for oil or to support Israeli illegal racist occupation.

Then my mind envisioned the millions of Palestinians living in poverty, indignities, restrictions and without hope now living in refugee camps due to the illegal Israeli occupation of their lands in order to build settlements for Jews only. I thought of how I would feel toward Israel and Sharon. I thought how I would feel toward America and George Bush, Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz et al for fully supporting my family’s dispossession into exile or crude refugee camps and their arrest, torture or murder for resisting the stealing of their homes and lands.

Having volunteered to the RCAF as a pilot and flying bombers to help “topple” Hitler before the attack on Pearl Harbor, I see Israel and some of the Jews I and others saved from extermination now doing to the Palestinians exactly what Hitler did to them and others with full support of America and Bush and his ilk. Iraq was driven out of Kuwait. Now it is time to attack Israel.

It was not difficult to again feel my anger and think how I would feel were I a Palestinian or Iraqi civilian attacked for my home, land or the oil available. I could fully put myself into the mind of those resisting U.S. and Israeli murder and stealing of lands. I thought of what I would do when the law authorities refused me the required protection and then I was denied justice in a court of law if these “best friends and God’s chosen” invaders, thieves and murderers killed my family and others using illegally the modern weapons given to Israel for defense, not for attacking civilians.

Having been taught by the USCG and the military to save lives, defend the law, to kill, when to kill and not to kill, I wasn’t more than a block away on Southern Boulevard when I thought of all the airports in America and overseas where an American, or Israeli El Al jet liner or even US Air Force One could be easily downed by a rocket or heavy machine guns. And I realized there was no way - not enough men or money or snooping - to protect the low level flight paths in the approach and landing regime or the take-off and departure regime below 5000 feet from a dedicated person seeking revenge or to send the message that law is the basis of civilization but only when equally applied.

I shudder thinking of where Bush takes America. John W. Willmott
